The Hellenic Centre for Art and Culture is a local research centre that aims at promoting the local history and culture of the Mesogeia Region in East Attica, through the collaboration of local amateur researchers and academic research staff. It has made significant publishing efforts, highlighting through life narratives of local artists and musicians, among other things, the musical culture of the urban centres of the region, the history of philharmonic orchestras, and aspects of the traditional music and dance culture of the region. Many of the publications are accompanied by primary and secondary audio-visual material (CDs and DVDs), the product of on-site recordings and concert videos.<\/p>\n
